Create Gloucestershire (CG) is an arts development organisation led by and for the sector. Our core mission is to enable and support strategic and collective action. Art Shape are a founding member of this group committed to sustaining the sector during a time of unprecedented financial cuts and political change.

CG is a collaborative laboratory for change - a space for dialogue, incubation, research and enterprise which is made up of over 70 members and associate members from across the arts and cultural sector; together with a range of strategic partners from across different sectors we think, research, test, and share ideas to encourage arts to become “everyday” in Gloucestershire.

CG is the first arts development strategy in Gloucestershire led by and for practitioners. We connect artists, organisations, funders and audiences/participants together in new ways. We encourage dialogue and incubate the ideas that emerge. We then look to share learning and maximise return on investment to drive a new cycle of innovation.

This collaborative cycle has forged new trust and respect across the sector and spawned a range of ambitious projects and approaches. We have collectively secured funding of approximately £850,000.
