Trinity Hall

Tewkesbury’s Future Creative Health & Wellbeing Centre

We’re excited to announce that we are now the proud owners of Trinity Hall, Barton Street in Tewkesbury, a former Methodist hall located right next to the hospital. Our vision is to transform this historic building into Tewkesbury’s first dedicated Creative Health and Wellbeing Centre. We would like Trinity Hall to be accessible for all, promoting creative health and wellbeing, connection, learning and community services and complementing what already exists in Tewkesbury.

At the moment, Trinity Hall is an empty shell in need of extensive renovation—but we are committed to developing a space that is accessible, warm, welcoming and designed with inclusion at its heart. Through our consultation programme, Access Now (see below), funded by the Barnwood Trust, people with disabilities and long-term health conditions are shaping the design from the very start.

How to get involved:

  • Artists: If you are an artist who faces disabling barriers based in Tewkesbury, Art Shape would love to hear from you.
  • Residents: Share your ideas for the future Creative Health and Wellbeing Centre via our survey.
  • Supporters: We are actively seeking funding partners to help complete this ambitious development

Are you living or working in Tewkesbury ?

As part of our consultation project, we are asking local communities for ideas and plans for the building’s design, how it is used, and the activities, services and programmes that take place there.

Access Now:

Our Access Now programme brings local people facing disabling barriers into the core of the design process for Trinity Hall. Together, we are exploring how the building can truly meet community needs and remove obstacles from the outset.

We are also working with renowned access consultant Zoe Partington, who is helping ensure that every aspect—from the floorplan to the lighting—supports accessibility and inclusion by design.

Are you a disabled artist based in Tewkesbury?

We want you to join our steering group and help us co-create a space that truly works for everyone. Your insight and creativity will directly shape how Trinity Hall grows and develops.

If you are interested in joining, please contact harriet@artshape.co.uk.
