Artist Name: Flora Keays

Flora’s art has been influenced by landscape and by the animals she saw in her rural childhood, especially birds.  She takes the shapes and patterns she has sketched out of doors and uses these in her compositions.  She uses ink and watercolour pencils when sketching, acrylics when she wants strong colours on canvas.

 She has difficulty at times understanding others and being understood, which makes her anxious, but finds art allows her mind to flow freely, helping her to gain confidence to express herself in different ways. 

 Flora would like to share her experience of the benefits of art with disabled children and help them enjoy art and crafts with different materials.
