Thank you for visiting GDance
GDance achieved multiple triumphs and experienced many changes since it was founded with charitable status in 1994. Its aim: to break down barriers and help make dance more accessible to all.
As experts in inclusive dance practice the charity has built a national reputation for excellence and gained international recognition for its ground breaking projects.
2017 involved the difficult decision to wind down GDance as a charitable organisation. Former GDance staff members are continuing to support inclusive dance in Gloucestershire and nationally as well as working on the organisations most recent projects. Please follow the links below to keep up to date with these areas of work.
Dance Unstuck is a research and development programme which explores a teaching approach and infrastructure through which dance classes can become more universally accessible to all. Initial research has focused on the ballet genre.

Inclusive Dance in Gloucestershire
The inclusive dance group VIA, which formed part of GDance until 2016, continues through the arts organisation Art Shape. GDance staff continue to work with Gloucester's Carnival Arts Partnership (including Art Shape) to diversify participation and showcase the talents of local disabled people through Carnival.

GDance would like to take this opportunity of thanking the many people who have supported us through the years and, in particular, the generous funding bodies, both local and national, which made our work possible.
