Severn Project
The project aim was to contribute to the wider Severn Project
Art Shape worked alongside the Severn Project using the poem A Sleepwalk on the Severn by Alice Oswald as inspiration.
The Artists Ulf Petersen, Impgen Harvey-Lewis and Juins Stevens worked with participants with learning disabilities from Gloucester, Lydney, and Tewkesbury Adult Opportunity Centres and service users from family centres.
The finished floating sculptures and numerous lanterns were exhibited at the Severn Project events in Tewkesbury and Lydney in June 2009 giving Art Shape and the funders Adult Education in Gloucestershire considerable visibility.
